Voter Information

Youth from the ages of 14 to 25 will be permitted to vote.

If you fall within this category you can sign up as a voter before you intend to vote. As we are likely going to be holding our elections online you will need to submit your information through this portion of our website at some point. It should be noted that we take privacy seriously and voter information is not given to any third party at any time, under any circumstance (barring legal requirement). The only individuals who will have access to this information are those volunteers in the CYA who require it in order to perform their tasks; and each of them will be required to sign a privacy agreement.

Voters will receive an email when it is time to vote.

Youth will be required to vote in the riding in which they reside.

The Canadian Youth Assembly does not use the traditional 308 riding setup established by Elections Canada, but has combined many ridings in order to better represent youth population and limit fiscal expenditures.
