Party Information
"Parties not only recruit and advertise, but draft policy, establish their platforms, hold conventions and general assemblies (both online and in person), support and supply material to candidates, approve and disapprove candidate/member affiliations by their own terms and at their own digression (following their ratified constitutional rules and regulations), appoint and elect officers, run their own financial affairs and party operations (website, mailing, forums, committees etc.), run a national campaign during the election, and resolve inner party conflicts with their own conflict resolution systems."
We expect that each and every individual work with one another, regardless of their CYA party affiliation. This means that mutual respect must be present in all discussions and activities and that views cannot be rejected simply on the basis of the party with which an individual is affiliated.
The current parties within the Canadian Youth Assembly (CYA) are:
- Assembly of New Democratic Youth (ANDY)
- Conservative Youth Party of Canada (CYPC)
- Labour Progressive Party (LPP)
- LAN Party (LAN)
- Liberal Youth Party of Canada (LYPC)
- Youth Green Party (YGP)
